Spending a lot of timefor evaluating Linux vs. Windows and Windows vs. the MacOS, I came to know that the real battle is between the MacOS and Linux. Salessheet shows that about 9000 people switch to mac everyday from windows.Being an Opensource product linux has its own importance. That battle really kicks off this year with Apple stepping up their effort sharply with the Leopard, and Dell becoming aggressive (with others likely to follow) with SUSE Linux (though this choice may change).
Both platforms have their own advantages and disadvantages against each other and the winner will likely be the solution that walks away with the greatest number of advantages and the least number of disadvantages.
lets have a look ,why microsoft was thrownout of the war? What are theProblems with Microsoft in General ?

“Sales sheet shows that about 9000 people switch to mac everyday from windows.” – i would argue with that, or at least not completly agree with it; remember that the apple customers now have bootcamp. and still the end of the road is switching ultimately to OS X, that would take long time to achieve.

I have a real problem with understanding anyone mentioning comparing Apple with Microsft when it comes to the Mac or Windows platforms. I have used both exstensively and I think Apple Mac is woeful! It is purely for people with zero computer knowledge and even then it’s only attraction for me is its presentational style. The rest is crap! So I would suggest that the Salesmaen making the presiction that 9000 people a day are switching over to Apple is puke bunkum. Lies lies and statistics. So I predict that Windows will eventually swallow all the Apple and not be satisfied with just a bite and then they will employ the Apple architecture to their vastly superior platform, operational system and software products.
